My path to becoming a therapist is rooted in growing up in a household where feelings and emotions were taught to be masked. The discomfort felt of always having to be happy, led me to seek a career in which I could help others normalize feelings associated with sadness, worry, anger, disappointment, etc.
When I was introduced to the field of social work, I knew this path would allow me to empower others in feeling comfortable stepping into their emotions.
What makes my approach to providing therapy unique is that I talk with and to my clients, not at them.
In order to work towards healing and processing feelings, an open dialogue rooted in a therapeutic alliance is essential. Our sessions would focus on joint discussions to support in unpacking what led you into therapy.
I use a collaborative individualized approach and work together as a team with my clients. This enables us to jointly identify techniques that will empower your healing process!
